thumbnail.aspxYou are the God of all truth, the God of deep hiddenness.

God of all hiddenness who shows yourself in your being hidden,

who hides yourself in your disclosures,

we would know more of you of your goodness and your mercy,

of your large purposes and long-term dreams.

In your presence we become aware of how little we know of ourselves,

of our interests and passions,

of our fears and dreads,

of our own wonderments and gifts.

In your truthfulness, let us know more of you and in knowing you, ourselves as well.

We pray in the name of Jesus, where we see you fully, and ourselves clearly.

Amen.

Little Michael continues to make progress here, which continues to be amazing. They have moved him to Atlanta for rehab. Here’s his Daddy’s update last Thursday:

    “Afternoon Michael update-
WE ARE ATLANTA BOUND IN THE MORNING!!!

We got the official word this afternoon that we will be leaving Vandy at 8:00 in the morning headed towards the ATL. He starts rehab on Saturday morning. He will be doing rehab every day seven days a week. They have two sessions- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. We don’t know how long he will be there. He will be there for quite a while. I will be in the ambulance with Michael on the way down and Timberly will follow behind us in the van. I am trying to convince them to let me drive the ambulance, but I am not sure my persuasion skills are quite that good. I guess we’ll see.”

They have had pictures of him up and in his wheelchair. He seems so much more alert…so good to see.

  4. That’s great about Michael, Sarah.

  5. I don’t think the evaluation went too well. It seemed really cursory and the psychologist didn’t seem to show any interest in learning about Rob’s mental state at all. Mental/emotional problems were not the reason he filed for disability, but they are a symptom and I would have appreciated for at least a small amount of interest in it to be demonstrated.

  6. So sorry, J. That has to be incredibly frustrating.

Praying for you and Rob today.

Captain Kevin- cervical spinal stenosis (narrowing of the upper spinal column), which causes pain in my neck and shoulders as well as down into my hands. , bone spurs in my hands, and what appears to be a separating of my left wrist and hand, wearing braces and taking some pretty strong meds, but the relief is minimal. My pain specialist says that pain sensations I feel are probably heightened by the fibromyalgia.

  8. What a week we have had!! Sunday night my daughter called and said she was going to the hospital for abdominal pain….before we were even dressed to head back to the other side of the state to be with her, she called back to say they were going to do surgery to remove her gull bladder. we got there in time to see her before they took her into surgery. So I stayed on that side of the state to help her out while she recovered and Buster came back home to work. Then this weekend (Sunday afternoon) a tornado ripped though our neighborhood. Trees down everywhere….yard was pretty torn up, but we and our house were safe. Still no power there. All in all a pretty stress filled week but things are good now. Daughter is mending very quickly and back to her busy life.

    Missed you all lots.

  12. Our son, daughter-in-law and grandson were rear ended while at a complete stop coming home from a camping trip. Christina is about 8 months pregnant. Stephen hit his head on the steering wheel and Christina hit her head on the windshield and is experiencing a lot of pain. Connor seems okay. If you see this please pray their unborn child is okay and that Stephen’s and Christina’s injuries are nothing serious. Thank you.
