1426163_10152538970789156_1955504315_aA third Christmas has passed and another year will turn tonight with Saeed Abedini in an Iranian prison.

Our government has failed to secure his release and we have failed as a people to put sustained pressure on it to do so.

Sadly, we still have an opportunity to change both.

May God use the prayers of His people to free this man before we mark any more holidays for him in prison.

We ask again that on Wednesdays you change your Facebook profile picture to his and that you “like”  the “Free Saeed” Facebook page and participate in some of the activities that promote his cause.

We ask…that you remember him and his family in prayer…and that you refuse to give up on efforts to secure his release.

  1. Continuing to pray and hope for our precious brother. Lord have mercy

  2. We have to push again for this man and his family in 2015

    Saeed Abedini must be free

  3. What would happen if mega-church pastors became social activists?

    Could they achieve anything?

  4. “What would happen if mega-church pastors became social activists?”

    “Could they achieve anything?”

Yes…but they might put the “mega” at risk.

  5. Babs is totally correct!!

  6. Yes, I continue to pray……. His on going imprisonment is a mystery…God is ABLE…. yet in spite of all the prayer, he is still there…..

I’ve never in my life been seriously angry at the president and our government, until now, in the world wide disgrace of this case. I know the Bible tells us to pray for them, and I do. I know the Bible says it is God who ‘raises up kings and dethrones kings”…. but in the last months, I’ve actually verbalized some pretty negative and ‘blasphemous’ things about our current ‘king’…..

May the Lord have mercy on Pastor Saeed and his family….and the many many other Christians living a life of persecution…..

  7. Paige, I believe you have spoken for many of us. Thank you.

  8. We remembered Saeed at our Christmas Eve service, and the contrast to last December. I continue to stand amazed that Americans around the world in non-Muslim nations have been released this year but this administration does nothing with Iran.

  9. What Steve said. yes.

  10. Not to be a buzz kill, but what should our government give Iran for the release?
Look at Cuba, we ended up by lifting the embargo and normalizing relations to get the CIA operative back after 5 yrs… and Cuba is not even a threat to anyone.

  11. MLD, from what I read on the web, Obama is talking about Iran and having relationship with that country. Instead he should be demanding his immediate release, and no further talks until then.

  12. there is much to pray over in this matter and its surrounds… i must begin with “Thy will be done…” … we Christians no longer live in the time when our government held respect for The Faith… we are troublesome and since we’re no threat, we are expedient… but they don’t know our God, do they? Oh, Lord, bring Saeed home to his family and may he leave those in that prison there in Iran pondering Your grace and power, not the U.S. Government’s.
