Michael says: June 13, 2017 at 11:38 am BD, I concur…I usually won’t link to them, but that is a good story. Josh the Baptist says: June 13, 2017 at 11:40 am Have you seen on facebook that Saeed has taken to wearing a clerical collar? 🙂 🙂 🙂 WenatcheeTheHatchet says: June 13, 2017 at 11:42 am BD, amen! Babylon's Dread says: June 13, 2017 at 11:42 am The atheism article is simply another example of how thoroughly our culture has been conquered by the spirit of politically correct thinking. It is virtually impossible to communicate the Gospel without offending sensibilities. We know that faith comes by hearing so it is not surprising that the antichrist spirit is embedding shut down codes into the mind of the public. Christian, church, and now even the trinitarian names has become switch blowing language. Let the one who has ears hear. WenatcheeTheHatchet says: June 13, 2017 at 11:44 am BD, I was saying amen about the CP website. They might as well be a malware platform at this point. Babylon's Dread says: June 13, 2017 at 11:47 am Is the Abedini name destined to become the equivalent of Elmer Gantry? Was their story the biggest defraud of the new millennium? Michael says: June 13, 2017 at 12:18 pm BD, I believe it is the biggest con of the last few decades… Josh the Baptist says: June 13, 2017 at 12:24 pm Poor Nagmeh though. What a nightmare. Glad she woke up and got out. Kevin H says: June 13, 2017 at 12:28 pm As once again being inclined to believe that Naghmeh is not just making this stuff up, it would seem all the more that Saeed is a despicable piece of trash. Can we organize a social media advocacy to have him sent back to Iranian prison? This time, one where he won’t have access to the luxuries of a smart phone to watch movies and porn. I only half joke about the social media advocacy. Em says: June 13, 2017 at 12:46 pm A rented mule? The good pastor will find that’s real life for many a working man… he has many brothers (generic) out there in today’s economy. Forget the doctors appointment, the cost of the mandatory insurance with the deductible makes that appointment out of reach… and a vacation? That’s just time off from work at best… Em says: June 13, 2017 at 12:56 pm Must be in a contrary frame of mind… The Abedinis need to just go their separate ways in directions that take them out of the limelight – they’re inappropriately taking up public space and time Praying members of our Christian leadership get wisdom and understanding to lead us sheep Kevin H says: June 13, 2017 at 1:03 pm Em, In defense of Naghmeh on this one, this latest article was not a result of her talking to the press. Rather it was the media attaining a copy of their legal divorce proceedings and reporting on it. The New Victor says: June 13, 2017 at 1:10 pm The open marriage article, ugh. My ex recently asked to come back, but it had more to do with she not being able to be away from the kids (funny how this didn’t enter into her mind when she was running out, but now that she’s separated on the road to divorce…). I don’t know what that would entail. Certainly not an open marriage. Neither for me a faux marriage (which would be an open marriage by any other name even if inside the home we lived as “roommates”). All I can think of is “what a mess,” and more importantly, “what kind of example or mirror does this provide for the children?” I didn’t even engage in the conversation by asking what she was thinking about this. I can think of some positives, but leaving those aside, she’s still married, and even after she divorced, it would be adultery, or the appearance thereof, yes? It’s up to me NOT to make this happen. Yesterday in the car, D5 said that she and S7 were going to get married. I chuckled. Having explained it to them before, S7 said, “no, we can’t get married, we’re brother and sister!” I added, “yeah, that’s against the law, and God’s law. siblings don’t marry each other. You will always be family, but you will find a husband and a wife of your own for each of you.” Then our son said, “yeah, but I don’t want to marry someone like Mommy.” I asked, “what do you mean you don’t want to marry someone like Mommy?” He said, “because Mommy punched [step-dad] and he didn’t call the cops.” Ugh. But at least he knew at 6 that it was wrong. I told him that I know that he loved Mommy, and that I kind of did, too, but that there are certain behaviors that should never be tolerated, and that we’d talk more about things when he got a little older. He seemed satisfied with that. Breaks my heart to think that even though it happened almost a year ago that he still carries it with him. Luckily, the kids didn’t witness the other incidents that she started sharing with me. The grass ain’t greener, kids. I like what one commenter said, “Love and marriage isn’t about romance: it’s about choices.” Descended says: June 13, 2017 at 1:38 pm Laurie’s statement: Laurie emphasizes last days style of evangelism. Where did the bible speak of end times revival? Why does this smack of Latter Rain to me? It really sounds like Unity fur Unity’s sake. I never hear the call much, if at all anymore, to each individual believer to be a light where they are. There’s always some program or outreach to do. Em says: June 13, 2017 at 2:29 pm Interesting that this morning I was reading my favorite Bible teacher’s words comparing human love between a man and a woman with God’s impersonal, personal & immutable love… “Thought is the part of [human] love that is so often missing. When you truly love someone that person becomes the focus of your thoughts. This first characteristic of love , then, occurs”… in the mind/soul Concerning human love: briefly it should progress from interest to respect to emotion to sex with the latter reserved for marriage and marriage only…l There was much more, of course, but the world today has nothing in any respect that supports this common sense… or what should be “common’ sense in the adult world or so it seems to me… I grieve for our young ones, confused, pressured and deluded with such lack of alternative input. … just say no? No to everything? That’s not much help bob1 says: June 13, 2017 at 3:11 pm Well, looks like the End Times Rapture clock just moved closer to midnight, with Greg’s ecumenical move to the SBC. See, this is exactly how it works: CC Greg Laurie SBC Rick Warren (aka Satan’s pawn) It’s horrible! JM says: June 13, 2017 at 3:33 pm Kevin H. #10, “As once again being inclined to believe that Naghmeh is not just making this stuff up, it would seem all the more that Saeed is a despicable piece of trash.” Amen. But I need to caution you. Referring to him in that way might risk insulting trash everywhere. Kevin H says: June 13, 2017 at 4:45 pm JM, You’re right. My apologies to all the trash heaps, dumpsters, and doggie doo-doo bags out there. JM says: June 13, 2017 at 7:18 pm Kevin H, #20, Couldn’t have said it better. 🙂 bob1 says: June 13, 2017 at 9:13 pm 16 Why does this smack of Latter Rain to me? Maybe…because you’ve never been taught to think deeply and critically? dusty says: June 14, 2017 at 6:29 am Good morning PP family. Hope you have a glorious day! ((((Hugs)))) Dan from Georgia says: June 14, 2017 at 7:57 am Good morning dusty! Xenia says: June 14, 2017 at 9:18 am Hello Dusty! Always good to see your sweet self. 🙂 jonnyB says: June 14, 2017 at 6:42 pm I always felt like the CC crowd were actually Baptist at heart;;;but I understand Greg’s reasons. Josh the Baptist says: June 15, 2017 at 6:41 am According to Nagmeh’s testimony in the link, Saeed wasn’t as much in Iran to preach as he was to have a vacation with his mistress. JM says: June 15, 2017 at 6:45 am Josh, #27 That’s what I was thinking. Again–next to him–trash looks edible.
