Praise FM in the Twin Cities (Minnesota). Not your typical Christian radio station, but actually played more worshipful music. These days I will not think twice about not supporting stations such as K-Love or the Joy FM (here in GA), so long as they employ a business model and continue to play milquetoast music. Dan from Georgia says: October 31, 2017 at 10:53 am “Faith Leaders Fighting White Supremacy, Trump” – article….haven’t been able to finish reading the article while here at work, but was thinking to myself, before I got to where it was mentioned in the article, “where are all the white people at?” (in regards to those protesting white supremacy and Trump). Martin Luther's Disciple says: October 31, 2017 at 10:58 am “Is Hollywood harder on sexual predators than the church is?” Obviously not since Hollywood covered it up for decades. Michael says: October 31, 2017 at 11:01 am “Obviously not since Hollywood covered it up for decades.” And the church hasn’t? We’ll have a another example of that later this week… Martin Luther's Disciple says: October 31, 2017 at 11:05 am That was not the question asked by the headline – it asked if Hollywood was harder on sexual predators? Although the church may be a wicked institution walking around with it’s collective pants down – Hollywood is no better and does not take care of the issue any better. Hence my reply to the question. The New Victor says: October 31, 2017 at 11:27 am As CT previously reported, Christians were banned from living in Nepal prior to 1960. Over the following decades, “Christianity grew by 10 to 20 percent annually, especially among Dalits at the bottom of Hindu society, making Nepal one of Asia’s most stunning church growth stories.” Hindu religion and culture are inexorably intertwined. A liberal and liberating religion like Christianity upends thousands of years of cultural inertia, and if of course seen as a threat so the social system. The upper castes are like the Pharisees: “righteous” and not in need of saving. Xenia says: October 31, 2017 at 12:07 pm Reformation Day Halloween Bah, humbug. filbertz says: October 31, 2017 at 12:54 pm K-love–half the calories, even less taste. The New Victor says: October 31, 2017 at 1:42 pm My 5 year old loves K-Love… and throws a fit in the car if I don’t have it on. My 7 year old has been echoing me: “There’s 3 people in the car, sister, and we have a right to listen to what we want to on the radio as well!” She doesn’t like that. I do like a few of the songs on there, but they repeat too many. John 20:29 says: October 31, 2017 at 2:32 pm form the link to five misconceptions…. “it leads us to discount the reforming movements that were started by earlier leaders like John Wycliffe (14th c.) and Jan Hus (15th c.). It also leads us to neglect the fact that the Reformation was a widespread grassroots movement that would have likely happened independent of Luther.” i don’t think anyone interested in Church history should miss this read, it takes nothing away from Martin Luther, but puts his era and his effort in context… Martin Luther's Disciple says: October 31, 2017 at 2:59 pm but Luther did it without getting killed which is as big a key to the Reformation as the printing press 😉 The Dude says: October 31, 2017 at 2:59 pm Reformation day ? The reformation was already in progress well before Luther. Hus and Wycliffe and a few other lesser known men started the ball rolling .Luther was at the right place at the right time. Michael says: October 31, 2017 at 3:08 pm There’s a lot not to like about Luther…but his unique place in catalyzing the Reformation can never be diminished. Corby StePHens says: October 31, 2017 at 3:42 pm Thanks for the link to The Rhythm Journal! As of right now, if 112 people back just one paper journal (as opposed to the PDF) it will be funded. 9 days to go and I’m praying! It’s not about making money (because I’m not). It’s about getting a resource in people’s hands to help transform their lives. Thanks again!
