this reminds me to pray to believe God and not to just believe IN Him
Lord, it is a noisy world full of demands that seem so relevant – we so need God the Holy Spirit’s working strong now…

  2. Linnea says:

I wanted to give you a update on my husband…after the blood clot caused by the chemotherapy port, he had the port removed. He has now started oral chemotherapy and is so far, is doing well… Thank you for your prayers…

  3. Surfer51 says:

Lord we would ask for healing of Linnea’s groom.

May every cell and fiber of his being be made whole by Your wonderful atonement obtained at the cross and by Your stripes that we were healed.by.

Isaiah 53:5New King James Version (NKJV)

    5
But He was wounded for our transgressions,
    He was bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

We would stand upon Your Word and choose to believe it as the truth.

    Your Word is truth.

Allow the healing as we stand upon Your Word, believing in faith that Linnea will witness the miracle in her family that is so desperately needed.

    In Jesus name we pray.

    Amen

    Found on the net:

“Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the apostle Peter wrote, “He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds you have been healed.”

In Isaiah 53, Jesus’ future life on earth was foretold in the clearest of terms, to include his eventual torture and death:

“But He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His wounds (stripes) we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24).”

amen to Surfer’s declarations, Lord – we trust You to care for your child Linnea and her family now

we have a pretty serious brush fire just south of us (not too close), but folks in the area are under evacuation notice (very populated area)… prayers for God’s mercy down there

  5. Linnea says:

Surfer51 —thank you so much for your wonderful prayer and encouragement. Thank you, too, for the link above–I’m in the process of watching it.

Thank you, too, em, for your continued prayers.

em–praying for protection from the brush fire and for a hedge of protection for you and yours this fire season.

  6. em says:

there is reason to thank God for protection in this last fire – the fires did take out houses, and there was a tremendous monetary (in the millions) loss from fire started in the fruit packing commercial area of town that was caused by burning debris carried on the wind which blew steadily all that night – but not one single person was injured – pray for the folks, many trying to cope with irreplaceable losses and disruption now
most of the homes were in an upscale area and most probably insured against financial losses, not like last year’s conflagration with burned down scores of modest rural and less insured homes and farms
Linnea, i sense the hedge of protection – thank you for praying

  7. Linnea says:

Could I ask for more prayer? My sister in law (my sister’s husband’s sister), Jeanna, has just been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. Prayers for her and her family are appreciated.

  8. Linnea says:

Update on my sister in law– she’s got lesions near her eye, in her pelvic region and on her femur and tibia. She started radiation yesterday. Lord have mercy on this family…

  9. Nonnie says:

Praying for Jeanna. Lord be her hope and help.

  10. Em says:

joining in praying for Jeanna – Lord make Your loving presence and strength known in Linnea’s family
