thumbnail.aspxFather, I want to know Thee, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys.

I cannot part with them without inward bleeding, and I do not try to hide from Thee the terror of the parting.

I come trembling, but I do come.

Please root from my heart all Those things which I have cherished so long and which have become a very part of my living self, so that Thou mayest enter and dwell there without a rival.

Then shalt Thou make the place of Thy feet glorious.

Then shall my heart have no need of the sun to shine in it, for Thyself wilt be the light of it, and there shall be no night there.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

  1. Please pray. For the first time, all of our children, spouses and grandchildren gathered together for Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day of games, fun, hugs and celebrations….and even got a family photo. That night our daughter in law became violently ill and was taken to ER with what she thought was appendix. Turns out she has a bad flu bug. The next day our son came down with it. So on Sat. we all packed up and went our separate ways. Now our daughter has it. So far hubby and I are ok, but we are scheduled to fly (11 hours) Monday. I’m thankful for the wonderful time we had together, but I admit I’m a bit fearful of being that sick on an overseas flight.

    Would appreciate prayers.

  2. Praying, my friend.

  3. praying here, too, Nonnie

  4. Nonnie,
Praying for you, husband, and passengers. I contracted the flu in flight due to a person having the flu and that bug being carried throughout the air system that cycles within the plane. I ended up in the hospital with pneumonia almost died. hopefully if you have contracted the flu you will know before you get on that flight and you will make arrangements to take a later flight.
